Indy 500 Memorial Day Race Gets A New Anthem "Indy Indy Indeed"

INDIANAPOLIS, May 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Donny Stew's song "Indy Indy Indeed," produced by RAT-A-TAT LLC for the Indy 500 is an energetic country rock anthem "dedicated to those who drive in the biggest motor race in America." The song performed by his virtuoso band is set to historic Indy footage and features the 1964 race winner A.J. Foyt who gets a big kiss in Indy's victory lane from a blonde beauty.

The music video http://youtu.be/kftW255KEx4 features Donny Stew and the Band along with original animated characters cars & flags. For this Memorial Day, the race will be telecast on the ABC television network.

2010 anthem for Dallas called "Texas Big" for the Dallas Cowboy's owner Jerry Jones hosting the super bowl.

2011 "59 Miles to Jacksonville," a song that appeared in Drew Barrymore's Hollywood Roller Derby movie "Whip It."

2012 Halloween release, "La Llorona - Ghost of Santa Fe" for a Latin American female ghost features original animated 3D ghost characters.

"Seeing my '59 Miles to Jacksonville,' song and name up in lights in Drew Barrymore's Roller Derby movie 'Whip It,' was the genesis for the 'Donny Stew City Songs project,'" said Donny. "It seemed to me that only the big cities like N.Y., L.A. and Chicago get the great city songs."

"My city songs unveil many unknown city legends, people, places, and events, both good and bad. I decided to have a special release for each city with a song and video in the appropriate genre. I've toured the cities I write about and personally shot city footage with my Camera. The legendary AJ Foyt and the iconic Indy 500 he won symbolized Indy's uniqueness for me."


"As my city song project progressed, the length of the songs and videos varied. Some songs and videos were the standard three minutes or so, while other cities got multiple songs and some regional cities have been joined together to form city rock operas."


In the meantime, Stew's been busy shooting mixing and editing the videos of the latest cities sessions & rehearsals. "Once they're ready I will let them out with the red carpet treatment, with 110% personal touch for each one."
