WASHINGTON, Jan. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Family Research Council (FRC) will host its 8th annual ProLifeCon tomorrow (Friday, January 25), the day of the 40th March for Life, commemorating the 40th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's Roe v. Reps. Diane Black (R-TN-6) and Trent Franks (R-AZ-8) will be among the pro-life leaders and activists attending and speaking at ProLifeCon. Rep. Black will discuss her new legislation, the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act (H.R. 217), which would continue funding for family planning but separate it from groups like Planned Parenthood that make millions on the practice of abortion. Rep. Franks is author of the ban on sex-selection abortion and a ban on late term abortion in the District of Columbia. Other ProLifeCon speakers include March for Life President Jeanne Monahan, former director of the Center for Human Dignity at the Family Research Council.
Additionally, Josh Duggar, one of the stars of the hit TLC reality TV series "19 Kids and Counting," will also attend and speak at ProLifeCon. Josh is the oldest of the 19 Duggar children. He and his wife Anna have two children, Mackynzie and Michael.
In addition to speakers, ProLifeCon will launch FRC's promotion of the new groundbreaking reality TV series "Surrender the Secret," a 10-episode Christian reality series from KnockTV. The series features five women as they tell their stories about having abortions in their past and undergo the healing process. They embark on this journey through a Bible study written specifically for post-abortion healing called "Surrendering the Secret" (by Pat Layton, LifeWay Press, 2008). KnockTV is an alternatively-distributed Christian television provider, supplying quality content and programming via the Internet to computers, mobile and handheld devices around the world.
