Eldhus: Little House of Music will be positioned in the heart of Reykjavik, and is the
smallest gig venue in the world with a capacity of 5 people including the band. The
off-venue will act as a platform to showcase the best in Icelandic music talent and
cultural influence.

Over four days the 16 artists including Olafur Arnolds, SOley and Valdimar will
perform intimate gigs to an audience of two inside the house. These concerts will be live
streamed [http://www.inspiredbyiceland.com/inspiration/iceland-airwaves ] online to a
global audience and on a large screen to festival-goers in the centre of Reykjavik.

The house acts as part of a wider campaign from Inspired by Iceland welcoming
submissions for a name that better describes the island. Each artist or band has shared
the name they think better represents Iceland. Names included 'BarbaraStreisland' from
musician Hermigervill, Country-That-I-Love-The-Most-Land from singer-songwriter Soley and
Best-Place-To-Grow-A-Beard-Land from Prins Polo.

Hermigervill is one of Iceland's most innovative electronic musicians and contemporary
artists:

'Iceland is like one big family. Everyone on the music scene is friends with everyone
else and we all work and collaborate with each other. The country is conducive to
creativity and making music.'

Visitors to the house will be encouraged to contribute their own names and stories,
which will be displayed at Eldhus and shared on Inspired by Iceland's social channels.

Inga Hlin Palsdottir, Director, Marketing & Visit Iceland at Promote Iceland says:

"Eldhus: Little House of Music will allow festival-goers to experience Iceland from a
wide range of unique perspectives and engage closely with Icelandic music culture as well
as giving people a once-in-a-lifetime gig experience. This unique venue has been designed
to encompass traditional Icelandic charm."

Further Info

In August 2012 the Inspired By Iceland campaign asked people a simple question: What
would you name Iceland if this was your first glimpse? _ _ _ _ Land? and in just 3 weeks
over 10,000 responded.

Many of those who contributed suggested that the name Iceland was misrepresentative
and that another name may better reflect the country.

To encourage further involvement from visitors to Iceland a naming booth has been
installed at Keflavik airport where visitors are actively encouraged to share what Iceland
is to them: name and all. A brand new naming page is now visible on the
http://www.inspiredbyiceland.com website and the most popular contributions can be
viewed along with the latest videos and images from the campaign.

The conversation will also be available on The Inspired by Iceland Facebook and
Twitter pages.
