Premiere of 'FIRST' the Official Film of the London 2012 Olympic Games
LONDON, November 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
++ OLYMPIC FILM DIRECTOR AND ATHLETES AVAILABLE FOR INTERVIEW ++
Olympic film director Caroline Rowland, Sir Keith Mills & Paul Deighton of LOCOG and
our Olympic heroes were at the premiere screening of 'FIRST' the Official Film of the
London 2012 Olympic Games last night at The May Fair, London W1.
Candid and compelling, the film follows the trials, tribulations and triumphs of 12
first-time Olympic athletes, as well as granting unprecedented access to film director,
Caroline Rowland, to show some of the most thrilling moments of the games, including
gold-winning performances from Laura Trott, Katie Taylor, David Rudisha and Missy
Franklin.
Lord Sebastian Coe says of the film, "It's fantastic. It's a wonderful film about the
Olympics. The guys who made it made our bid film and that gave us the final push to win
the games."
Caroline Rowland was also behind the inspirational films used in London's Olympic bid.
Rowland has been credited as one of the 10 most influential people to the bid's success.
Without a doubt, Rowland is uniquely qualified to have created a film that will form a
major part of the lasting legacy of one of the most incredible sporting events in living
memory.
Released in cinemas on Friday 23rd November and available to own on DVD, Blu-ray,
download and on demand from Monday 26th November.
