DeLaurentiis/Romero To Team For Underwater Thriller, Sunken

Script Penned by "Black Rain's" Warren Lewis: Filming Set for Spring 2013



LOS ANGELES, Nov. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Legendary pedigrees signed agreements for DeLaurentiis to produce Romero's "Sunken" during a meeting at the American Film Market (AFM) 2012. The script is written by Warren Lewis ("Black Rain," "The Thirteenth Warrior") and is based on an original story by Romero. Production is set to begin in the spring of 2013 and Shane Hurlbut ("Terminator: Salvation," "Into the Blue") is rumored to be coming on board to work with Romero as Cinematographer.

"There are a lot of people out there making independent films and I've seen a lot of it," DeLaurentiis joked. "I love this project because I've literally never seen anything like this anywhere and I can't wait to help you make it," she went on to add. "Suzanne is one of those producers independent guys like me hear about and say 'I want to work with them,'" said Romero. He added, "I can't even remember how long I've wanted to work with her and I'm thrilled that 'Sunken' is the project that's bringing us together."

"Sunken" is a tale of revenge that will have every audience member looking for a pause button in the theater just to catch their breath. Set against the backdrop of Los Angeles, the city provides the perfect tone for "Sunken" to hearken back to the Sunset Noir pieces of the 80's like "To Live and Die in L.A." and "Manhunter," while capitalizing on the combined success of the Crime and Horror genres in an Isolation piece...
