Premier, Year-end Business Conference For Senior Executives in TV, Film, and Video Technology To Be Held In New York on Thursday, December 6, 2012

NEW YORK, Nov. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Twenty-two leading executives will be participating as featured keynote guests or panelists at this important year-end conference for television and video, Thursday, December 6 in New York City. The Fifth Annual OnScreen Media Summit is presented by two leading television trade publications, Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News and will take place at the Sentry East Side conference facility located at 730 Third Avenue, 17(th) floor, at East 45(th) Street in midtown Manhattan.

This is the one, year-end conference that explores the business of all things on screen through a series of one-on-one interviews and moderated roundtable discussions which feature an elite group of leading C-suite executives. It is all in an intimate setting, thus giving attendees the opportunity to be in direct contact with our speakers and panelists.

The theme of this year's OnScreen Media Summit is The Evolving Business of TV, Film and Video Technology in 2012-2013. It focuses on the business of all things on screen -- from the movie theater, to outdoor electronic signage to your TV, computer monitor or handheld mobile device.

It opens with a perspective of the state of the business from CBS CEO, Les Moonves.

Tom Rogers of Tivo will speak about the direction for time shifting content in the year ahead.

Mark Johnson, the Executive Producer of award winning series, "Breaking Bad" teams up with AMC's Josh Sapan to talk about the effect of signature programming on a network's brand.

Rob Marcus, the President and COO of Time Warner Cable will share his vision for the direction of the pay TV industry in 2013.

NBC Sports Group President, Jon Litner will speak about the shifting importance of appointment viewing as it relates to world-wide sporting events.

Paula Kerger, the CEO of PBS will discuss the network's focus on kids programming, primetime and the ever-present question of funding (Yes, she will speak about Big Bird's future!).

Financial analyst Jessica Reif Cohen will share her expert vision for the next year.

Advertising leader, GroupM's Irwin Gotlieb will focus on the prospects for increasing ad revenues in the next four quarters.

A programming roundtable of experts follows the costs and revenues of movies from pre-production through basic cable syndication. A distribution technologies panel will look at all the new viewing options and explore where TV providers need to change in order to retain customers. And, an advertising panel focuses on the need to shift deliverables in a sponsorship package in this changing world of on screen.

Attendees represent leaders in their fields. They are programmers, marketers, financial investors, advertisers, agency executives, technology experts and more. This event has consistently gained popularity as the most important year-end industry event.
