"The Yank" and Cast To Be Featured At Sneak Peek Party at Shutters on The Beach

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Oct. 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The hilarious new comedy "The Yank", starring Colm Meaney, Fred Willard, Kevin Farley and introducing Sean Lackey, is getting ready for its close-up. The movie will be featured at a Sneak Peek Party on Sunday, Nov. 4, at 4 p.m. Pacific time, at Shutters on The Beach, 1 Pico Blvd. in Santa Monica. "The Yank" makes its full debut at American Film Market 2012, which kicks off October 31 at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel, in Santa Monica, CA. A trailer can be seen here.

Both the stars and producers of the movie will be on hand to welcome guests. The cast is as funny as the film and they can chat about the movie, drink, enjoy good Irish food, drink, provide a sneak peek of the film (before the premiere), and drink.

THE CAST:
The Yank (Sean Lackey): Needs wife, can't get wife. Is sent to Ireland to find wife.

The Dad Yank (Fred Willard): Dad can think of no better woman for his son than a 100% Irish woman. And he is willing to pay for it.

The Yank's Yanky Buddy (Kevin Farley): What do a bunch of crazy Irish Americans do in Dublin? Unfortunately act like this guy. Fun abounds as this character hits Dublin, and the Guinness factory with his oh so tactful American ways.

Friend O'Yank (Colm Meaney): You can't find an Irish wife unless you really understand Ireland. This Irish native commits himself to not letting the wife search go arseways.

Yank's Desire (Niki Spiridakos): A sweet hardworking Irish girl? Oops. The object of desire, is confident, gutsy...and...oh just wait to find out!

SYNOPSIS:

Shot on location in Cleveland, Dublin and County Clare, Ireland, "The Yank" tells the story of Tom Murphy, a middle-aged Cleveland bachelor. For Tom, "the perfect woman" is beautiful, hard-working, family-oriented - and (like his parents) 100% Irish. So when his best friend, Marty, decides to get married in Ireland, Tom's family and friends send him off on a side splitting epic adventure. Tom does not know it yet, but he's about to come face to face with the real Ireland!

Tom's plan to find his dreams takes him on a journey of discovery to a land that defies his original expectations. He discovers that the grass isn't always greener, even in Ireland. With the help of family he's met for the first time, he's discovering what it is to be Irish in 2013....the year of THE GATHERING!!!!
