Gannett announces quarterly dividend

MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Gannett Co., Inc.'s (NYSE: GCI) Board of Directors today declared a dividend of 20 cents per share, payable on January 2, 2013 to stockholders of record as of the close of business on December 7, 2012.

"We are making excellent progress on implementing our growth strategy and it is already delivering results. At the same time, we remain committed to delivering increased value to shareholders. We are on track to return approximately $1.3 billion to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases by 2015.
