LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Fulfillment Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making college a viable opportunity for students in low-income communities in Los Angeles, will honor Rob Moore, Vice Chairman of Paramount Pictures Corporation, and Tom Booker and Wells Fargo Bank, at the STARS 2012 Benefit Gala on October 24, 2012 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Katie McGrath and J.J. Abrams, Skip Brittenham and Ziffren Brittenham LLP, Melina Esrailian, DDS and Eric Esrailian, MD, Michelle and Jack Giarraputo, Cherna and Gary Gitnick, MD, Jessica and Adam Goodman, Cassandra and Brad Grey, Frederick Huntsberry and Madeleine and Tom Sherak, co-chair. Actor and comedian Patton Oswalt will emcee.

The star-studded event will feature world-class entertainment, a live auction hosted by actor/comedian Sinbad, and an opportunity drawing for a 2013 Subaru BRZ Limited sports car donated by Sherman Oaks Subaru and Casa Automotive Group.

Rob Moore, Vice Chairman of Paramount Pictures, will be honored with the STARS 2012 award. Moore is responsible for overseeing the studio's Worldwide Marketing, Distribution, Home Entertainment, Digital, Interactive, Television, Licensing, and Business Affairs divisions. Under his leadership, Paramount released the acclaimed documentary Waiting for "Superman", which examines the crisis of public education in the US. Additional education initiatives undertaken by Moore, Paramount, and parent company Viacom include the studio's Kindergarten to Cap & Gown program, which assists students through their entire Elementary, Middle, and High School careers and Viacom's Get Schooled program, which empowers young people to take control of their own educations.

The Founders' Humanitarian Award pays tribute to Tom Booker and Wells Fargo Bank. Booker has served on the Fulfillment Fund Board of Directors for 14 years. Wells Fargo has provided significant financial support, paid internships, mentoring resources, volunteers and sponsorships to the Fulfillment Fund.

The Fulfillment Fund delivers a unique college access curriculum in partner high schools and provides comprehensive, in-depth and individualized support to help students successfully access and graduate from college. Through classroom instruction, college counseling, mentoring and scholarships, the Fulfillment Fund transforms the lives of students. Nationally, only 54% of high school graduates from low-income communities enroll in college.
