DeeTown Entertainment Exclusively Records and Produces Over 50 Masters of World's Top Billboard Hits for The CW's "THE NEXT"

Songs Performed on THE NEXT Available for Digital Download Following Each Episode

NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- With the final episodes of the new music competition series THE NEXT scheduled to broadcast live on The CW from Los Angeles on October 2 and October 4, and an Atlantic Records recording contract awaiting the winner, New York-based DeeTown Entertainment has been busy at work exclusively recording and producing the songs that the contestants perform each week on each show in the company's 9,000 sq. ft. recording studio and production facility so that the contestants' singles are released after each episode on all digital service providers (DSPs), including iTunes and Cricket's Muve Music. By the time the finale airs on October 4, DeeTown Entertainment will have recorded and produced over 50 Masters of "The Next" contestants' versions of world's top Billboard Hits.

"It's very gratifying to collaborate on a television show that supports up-and-coming talent in the medium to which I have devoted so much of my career," said Ali "Dee" Theodore, founder of DeeTown Entertainment. "The DeeTown team is thrilled to be working with Atlantic Records and The CW on such an exciting project."

THE NEXT traveled to cities across the country, including Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Orlando, Los Angeles, and New York, searching for undiscovered artists on the verge of stardom. In each episode of THE NEXT, four music industry superstars -- pop icon Gloria Estefan, country star John Rich, hip-hop star Nelly, and pop star and actor Joe Jonas -- dropped in on the lives of four up-and-coming local singers in each city and had 72 hours to get them ready for a head-to-head singing competition at a well-known local venue. After performing in front of an audience filled with friends, family, local music fans and the four icons, one winner was chosen to move on to represent their city in the semi-finals. The finalists from the local cities will converge on Los Angeles to compete for the grand prize, a recording contract with Atlantic Records and the chance to open for one of the superstar icons, over the final live episodes.

From executive producers Dave Broome ("The Biggest Loser"), hip-hop icon Queen Latifah, and Shakim Compere, THE NEXT is produced by Raquel Productions Inc., in association with 25/7 Productions, LLC and Flavor Unit Entertainment, Inc.
