SCAD Announces 2012 Savannah Film Festival Competition Films
SAVANNAH, Ga., Sept. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Savannah College of Art and Design announced the competition film lineup for the 2012 Savannah Film Festival. The Oct. 27-Nov. 3 festival in downtown Savannah, Ga. is celebrating 15 years of cinematic creativity from award-winning professionals and emerging student filmmakers. The Savannah Film Festival provides students opportunities to network and interact with the entertainment industry while promoting quality, independent films and filmmakers.

The festival features more than 30 competition films, selected from more than 1,000 entriesin the categories of feature, short, animation, documentary and student competition that are submitted from all over the world. This year films come from countries includingAfghanistan, Argentina, Austria, New Zealand, Spain and United Kingdom.The competition films are competing for more than $80,000 in cash and prizes this year.
Tickets go on sale on Monday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. Tickets and passes can be purchased online at savannahboxoffice.com, via phone at 912.525.5050 or in person at the box office window, 216 E. Broughton St, Savannah. Festival passes are still available for purchase.
