Exclusive sponsorship of ABC College Football Halftime Show continues for sixth year; new sponsorships with select schools
FINDLAY, Ohio, Sept. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cooper Tire & Rubber Company is kicking off the college football season by announcing significant sponsorship agreements. Cooper will begin its sixth year as the exclusive tire sponsor of the ABC College Football Halftime Show and has inked new agreements with select colleges in the Big Ten, SEC and ACC conferences to connect the Cooper brand with fans on a local market basis.
Beginning now and running through late October, Cooper will continue as the "Sponsor of Saturday Afternoon Halftime Reports on ABC," supporting the effort with national advertising, consumer marketing programs and promotions, mobile integration and social activation.
Deepening its commitment to college football fans, Cooper is also investing in new multimedia sponsorships with The Ohio State University, the University of Florida, the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech for the 2012 season. The Cooper brand will be prominently showcased as a featured sponsor at each school along with stadium signage, television and radio spots, and digital marketing. In addition Cooper will connect with fans directly through on-site activities at each school's home games throughout the season.
Cooper also recently timed the start of its Take the Money & Ride(®) national promotion (Aug. 24 to Nov. 6) with the college football season and kicked off its national advertising campaign supporting a consumer rebate for select Cooper branded tires.
