Media Tours of SAE Chicago available beginning August 27th at 820 N. Orleans Street

NEW YORK, Aug. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- On September 24th, SAE Institute opens their seventh US campus in Chicago, IL. SAE Chicago will kick off the school year by offering two different 12-week courses, training students for careers in the audio & creative media industries. SAE emphasizes hands-on training and individual studio time, providing school facilities reflective of the professional workplace environment. SAE is proud to announce that James Thomas will be the Director of SAE Chicago, beginning on August 23(rd). Bill Smith currently serves as SAE Chicago's Director of Education and the National Curriculum Advisor for SAE Institute in the United States. Media tours of SAE Chicago will be available starting on Monday, August 27(th).

Two courses, Beat Lab Production (BLP) and Electronic Music Production (EMP) begin on Monday, September 24(th) and Tuesday, September 25(th )respectively. Students 18 years of age and older will be eligible to apply for limited enrollment, beginning on August 27(th).

Beat Lab Production provides aspiring producers the opportunity to learn hip-hop music production from experienced instructors using the latest tools and software. This program provides great insight for the budding producers combining the fundamentals of hip-hop music production with new cutting edge techniques and perspectives.

Electronic Music Production is intended for musicians and DJs who enjoy experimenting with technology, as well as electronic music enthusiasts and audio hobbyists. Students who have basic knowledge of music creation software such as Logic, Ableton Live, or Reason and want to move to the next level will learn a variety skills, including remixing, mastering, stereo editing, mixing techniques, song arrangement and more. This course will also be beneficial to DJs looking for an edge on existing production techniques and advance their careers.
