Must Attend Event With Dual Mission During RNC Convention

Controversial Illegal Immigration Documentary Screening and Filming of Tea Party Themed Documentary

TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Turns out the hottest ticket in Tampa during the RNC Convention is being hosted by filmmaker, Dennis Michael Lynch. His controversial film, They Come to America: The Cost of Illegal Immigration, is being screened at the Tampa Theatre on Thursday, August 30(th )at( )1:00pm. Immediately following the screening, the audience will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive presentation and discussion led by Lynch that will be filmed as part of his next documentary about the Tea Party movement. Seating for the event is limited. To reserve free tickets, register online here.

THEY COME TO AMERICA is the first non-partisan, full-length documentary to ever look at both sides of the issue, which means it attaches an American face to the costs and suffering caused by illegal immigration. But despite rave reviews, the film has been rejected by Hollywood distributors, cable and video on demand operators, and more than 30 domestic film festivals, including those in Arizona, California, New York, Illinois, Florida and Texas where illegal immigration hits hardest.

Despite these challenges, THEY COME TO AMERICA is now finding the audience it deserves. "As a result of my recent appearance on The O'Reilly Factor, I'm getting tons of email stating our event is the hottest ticket during this year's RNC," says Lynch. "I'm humbled by the comments, but honestly I'm not shocked. The elite media and Hollywood made a big mistake by trying to keep THEY COME TO AMERICA from the public. It's created a situation where people want to see the film more than ever."

Lynch is traveling the country hosting free screenings. "People are showing up in droves and it's all word of mouth," continued Lynch. "Then they get excited about being a part of my new film about the Tea Party. They're hoping it too tells the real story. I'm not a Tea Party member, but I'm eager to learn why the same forces that slammed my film also slam the Tea Party. It must mean we're both onto something great."

At the conclusion of the RNC, Lynch continues his nationwide tour of hosting screeningswhile simultaneously filming the new documentary. More information can be found at www.dennismichaellynch.com.
