Fall in Love with Frisco during Autumn Spectacular and Fall Fest
Frisco hosts Fall Fest with the Lumberjills, woodcarving, Firemen Games and more to welcome Fall with open arms
FRISCO, Colo., Aug. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Fall will be blowing in in the next few weeks, and Frisco is offering plenty of ways to Fall in Love with Fall this year. From September 8 to 23, 2012, Frisco will host Autumn Spectacular, a two-week long celebration of everything autumnal, including leaf-peeping hikes and excursions and Fall Fest, which will kick off Autumn Spectacular on September 8, 2012. This event will be the perfect mountain getaway to play in the cool temperatures, view the colors of Fall and taste the variety of Frisco.
Fall Fest will jump start Autumn Spectacular with a show from Timber Tina's World Champion Lumberjills, featuring logrolling, power sawing, speed carving and more. Kids will have a great souvenir to take home after the show. In addition to lumberjacks, there will be Firemen Games with activities, races and fire trucks. This is the perfect time to enjoy the day and give back to the dedicated firemen that work hard all year long to keep our forests safe. Fall Fest will raise much-needed money to help support the Friends of the Dillon Ranger District.
In addition to the two main events, there will be many other activities including Mt Royal Hill Climb, live bluegrass music from Mountain Standard Time, woodcarvers along Main Street, a cake walk (musical chair games), a firework display at the marina and games for kids. This year, don't forget your sweet tooth, because Fall Fest will host a farmer's market that will feature homemade, local pies, fudge and jams from Colorado businesses.
Attendees looking for a colorful adventure can use Frisco as their home base as they set out on one of dozens of scenic roadways and trails in Summit County. Check in the Visitors Center to find the best hikes and drives in the area.
