Richard Hadar welcomes back TV and Film Star Zoe Lister Jones

NEW YORK, July 13, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In its lineup of summer events The Richard and Mica Hadar Foundation has announced a seminar with actress, screenwriter, and filmmaker Zoe Lister-Jones. Lister-Jones is scheduled to meet with Hadar scholars to discuss her successful career, offer practical advice to the foundation's young aspiring filmmakers and actors, and to talk about the challenges facing young film professionals breaking into the movie business today.

Lister-Jones was awarded the Richard and Mica Hadar Foundation scholarship in 2000. With the foundation's support, she attended Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, from which she graduated in 2004. She later went on to study at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. As an actress, she was last seen on Broadway in The Little Dog Laughed, on television in the popular series Law & Order, and as a regular guest on the NBC sitcom Whitney.

Lister-Jones's first success as a screenwriter came in 2009, when she co-wrote and co-starred with Daryl Wein in the independent film Breaking Upwards. The Hadar scholars had the opportunity to attend the screening during the film's opening in New York City. Lister-Jones's second feature, Lola Versus, has been distributed by Fox Searchlight Pictures. The movie opened in the theaters in the summer of 2012.

Richard Hadar, the founder and chair of The Richard and Mica Hadar Foundation said about Lister-Jones, "Everyone at the foundation is proud of Zoe's incredible achievements. We are particularly pleased that she is taking time from her busy schedule to return and conduct a seminar that will help our aspiring young actors and filmmakers."
