"The Vaccines Come of Age" with Eagerly Anticipated Second Album, Available for Pre-order from Tesco Entertainment
LONDON, June 29, 2012/PRNewswire/ --
A new album from sizzling-hot indie foursome The Vaccines lands in September 2012, and
is now available for pre-order from Tesco Entertainment [http://www.tescoentertainment.com
], priced at GBP9.97. The Vaccines Come of Age follows 18 months after the release of
their platinum-selling debut, What Did You Expect from the Vaccines?, which shot to number
4 in the UK charts and spawned the ubiquitous singles Post Break-Up Sex and Wreckin' Bar
(Ra Ra Ra). Fans who loved these songs can get a glimpse of the upcoming release with the
band's buoyant new single No Hope, which is quickly becoming a summer radio staple.
The Vaccines

' unique sound takes cues from The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys, as well as pop and rock
from the 1950's and 1980's. Frontman Justin Young talked to NME about their upcoming
sophomore album: "I think we've always from day one wanted to write pop songs, write the
kind of songs we listen to. Pop seems to be a dirty word but we don't think it should be."
The band worked with producer Ethan Johns (Kings of Leon, Ryan Adams, Laura Marling) on
their new record to hone this upbeat indie sound.
Young and his bandmates wrote much of the album while on tour in support of their
hugely successful debut; they made festival appearances at Field Day and Radio 1's Hackney
Weekend, and won the coveted "Best New Band" gong at this year's NME Awards. Young told
NME: "The record is a lot more intimate and close than the first record and is a more
personal and characterful record".
