Kendall-Jackson Wines to Appear On FOX's "MASTERCHEF"
Wines Will be Part of the Hit Culinary Show's Mystery Box Challenges
SANTA ROSA, Calif., June 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Wine lovers will recognize a familiar sight tonight on FOX's hit cooking show, MASTERCHEF -- Kendall-Jackson wine. The acclaimed Sonoma County winery's wines will be part of the mystery box challenges, daring the nation's best amateur cooks to test their wine smarts as they battle for the title of MASTERCHEF, a cookbook deal and the $250,000 grand prize.
Last night, the judges revealed the Top 18 contestants who will join the nation's best crop of amateur cooks in the MASTERCHEF kitchen. Tonight (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), the Top 18 compete in their first mystery box challenge of the season, and by the end of the episode, two contestants will be sent home.
"We're extremely excited to see what these talented chefs come up with and how their creations pair with our wines," said Randy Ullom, winemaster for Kendall-Jackson Winery. "Our meticulous estate grape-growing and handcrafted winemaking methods result in flavors and nuances in our wines that we hope will inspire the MASTERCHEF contestants."
Kendall-Jackson is a Sonoma County-based family-owned and -operated winery that has received critical acclaim for its estate-grown Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Bordeaux varieties. The Kendall-Jackson Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay has been America's favorite Chardonnay for more than 20 years in a row. To learn more, visit www.kj.com.
