Government of Canada Announces Appointment to the CBC/Radio-Canada Board of Directors


OTTAWA, June 26, 2012 /CNW/ - The Honourable James Moore, Minister of
Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, today announced the
appointment of Rémi Racine as Chairperson of the CBC/Radio-Canada Board
of Directors for a term of five years.



"I am pleased that Mr. Racine has accepted to serve as Chairperson of
the Board of Directors," said Minister Moore. "His service as a member
of this board for the last several years and extensive experience in
business and administration will be of great benefit to
CBC/Radio-Canada."



Mr. Racine was first appointed as a member of the CBC/Radio-Canada Board
of Directors on October 12, 2007, and was reappointed for a second
four-year term on December 1, 2011. Since 1999, he has been Chairperson
of the Board, President and Executive Producer of Behaviour Interactive
(formerly A2M), a leading independent video game developer in Canada
and an award-winning interactive multimedia business. Mr. Racine holds
a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Université du
Québec à Montréal.
