LAS VEGAS, May 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- MARIJUANA, INC. (OTC: HEMP) or (HEMP.PK) is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between its Media Division, MarijuanaInc.TV (www.mjinctv.com) and Elkhyde Holdings LLC to produce a film documenting the challenges faced and overcome by the Hyde family, whose young son Cash was diagnosed with brain cancer at age 2, and how the use of cannabis helped offset the side effects of chemotherapy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmviQBB5DHs).

Production of the documentary will begin this month at MarijuanaInc.TV/ Glass Slipper Studio in West Hollywood, California. Hal Lewis will produce the documentary, taking time from a demanding schedule following his participation as head of audio/video in the movie "The Artist" which won five Academy Awards including Best Film of 2012.

Release of the Cash Hyde documentary is projected for August of 2012. The film will be submitted for entry into the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.

The MOU states that the Hyde family will have final editorial approval, to ensure accuracy. The story line will follow the tumultuous events that occurred during Cash's battle with cancer, and to show the circumstances leading to the decision to administer cannabis to the toddler as well as the quest to gain safe access to the proper quality medical cannabis oil to treat Cashy.

"We're ready to begin production as soon as the Hyde family is available," said company President David Tobias. "A block of studio time is allocated to film Mike Hyde in studio at the end of May. Editing will be completed later this summer. In the interim, we intend to promote the film at coming events including the Connisseur Kulture show at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica on May 11/12 and at the High Times Cannabis Cup in San Francisco in June."
