New Reality Show a Gift for Families of Autism Around the World

New Reality Show a Gift for Families of Autism Around the World

Second episode of FIX IT IN FIVE with LYNETTE LOUISE the BRAIN BROAD shoots next month

SIMI VALLEY, Calif., April 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Lynette Louise MS, BCN-T, CBS travels the world as an autism expert, speaker/performer, author and renowned neurofeedback for autism advocate and practitioner. She is eagerly invited into homes to step in and teach how to identify and reach specific goals utilizing play therapy, family dynamics counseling and neurofeedback.

The desire to film FIX IT IN FIVE hatched from an obvious need in the autism community for answers. Louise's clients have always benefitted from her passion and understanding of autism spectrum disorder, but one family at a time isn't enough. With the CDC releasing new ASD numbers this month, revealing that now 1 in 88 kids (1 in 54 boys) are diagnosed with ASD in the US, while offering very little by way of answers, it is important to Louise that she get a lot louder, now.

The challenge of the show is to help five families struggling with one or more brain disorders, like autism, who could otherwise not afford -- or may be refused -- treatment. She will travel the globe, working with a different family in a different country or culture for five days, asking only that the family allow cameras into the home. Louise said of this endeavor, "I already do this job around the world. And now everyone else can have a candid view."

Episode one has already been shot in the USA. Next month Louise is off to film the second episode in Uganda, featuring a single mom whose daughter doesn't have an official diagnosis. "Sadly," says Louise, "the community just calls her crazy."

This is Louise's gift to parents and kids affected by brain disorders. She offers the answers that she herself would have loved to hear when she was the single mom of eight kids -- six adopted, four on the spectrum of autism. This is the show that will share the tips and brain science that helped her guide three of her four off the spectrum and into independence.
