WXYZ Airs Live Interactive Town Hall Meeting

A Detroit 2020 Special, "The Challenge of Change"

WXYZ-TV will host a live interactive town hall meeting on Thursday, March 29 from 7-7:30 p.m., featuring Michigan Governor Rick Snyder and Detroit Deputy Mayor Kirk Lewis. The special, "The Challenge of Change," will allow viewers to engage in conversation through social media, including Twitter, Facebook, and on-line.

The special comes at a critical time for Detroit as city and state officials examine plans for the future of the financially troubled city.

"The Challenge of Change" will be hosted by 7 Action News anchors Stephen Clark and Carolyn Clifford, with reports from Dave LewAllen. The program is part of WXYZ's ground-breaking community service initiative, Detroit 2020, a decade-long, multi-platform project designed to tackle the issues facing Southeast Michigan. Governor Snyder and Deputy Mayor Lewis will be available for questions immediately following the town hall meeting.
