Jelli Expands Management Team With Addition of Senior Executives From Google, Clear Channel and Yahoo!

Adding deep radio, web and mobile talent to create the future of social radio

SAN MATEO, Calif., March 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Jelli (http://www.jelli.com) announced today the expansion of its management team with the addition of two executives with deep experience from the top companies in radio and the web.

Former Google and Clear Channel executive, Drew Hilles, was appointed as the company's Chief Operating Officer. This follows Jelli hiring a former Yahoo! engineering executive, Torsten Schulz, as Jelli's Vice President of Engineering.

Drew Hilles has over 20 years of experience in radio and web advertising and operations. Prior to Jelli, Drew advised startups and was a senior sales Director for several years at Google, working with both YouTube and Google audio advertising initiatives. Drew was also part of the founding executive team of dMarc Broadcasting, a next-generation radio advertising platform acquired by Google in 2006, and prior to that held senior vice president positions at both Clear Channel and Infinity Broadcasting (now CBS Radio).

"Jelli has the disruptive potential to revitalize a $40 billion global media segment by deeply fusing social and mobile engagement with the reach of radio," said Hilles. "Jelli's platform transforms how users and advertisers engage with radio, driving significant value for listeners, broadcasters and advertisers alike."

Torsten Schulz has 15 years of experience with web and mobile engineering. He joined Jelli in 2011 from Yahoo!, where he was Senior Director Engineering of the mobile platform engineering team. Torsten was responsible for developing several mobile products at Yahoo! including their flagship consumer mobile product, Yahoo! Go. Torsten joined Yahoo! via their acquisition of Verdisoft in 2005, a mobile technology company, and prior to Verdisoft Torsten worked at Sun Microsystems in the 1990s as a software architect.

"The rapid growth of iPhone and Android provide a unique opportunity to rethink the radio through a social and mobile lens," said Schulz. "I look forward to working with the team to build amazing experiences and help the medium evolve."

"Drew and Torsten have deep experience with radio and web innovation at significant scale, and they will help us accelerate the development and adoption of our social radio platform," said Mike Dougherty, Jelli's CEO. "We couldn't be more excited to welcome executives of their caliber to our team."
