LOS ANGELES, Feb. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Azteca America kicks off the year with important primetime programming changes, including the launch of two new shows hosted by two of the most lauded names in Hispanic television: Marta Susana and Fernando Arau.

Marta Susana leads off the primetime lineup with Cuentame tu Historia, where each night, she will profile one person's story from beginning to end, using dramatized re-enactments to illustrate events as they unfolded. These events -- often harrowing, always poignant -- come to life in the assured hands of our renowned host. Marta Susana will interview the individuals who experienced the event first-hand, using her inimitable Q&A style to extract information revealing deeper insight into the extreme realities of our society.

Beginning February 6 at 9 PM, legendary comedian Fernando Arau, together with Rodolfo Jimenez and the beautiful ex-Garibaldi singer and novela star, Luisa Fernanda, bring you the newest and funniest variety show on Hispanic television. Each hour of this show will feature a broad range of entertainment, including top musical acts, fun contests with participants from the audience, sketch and stand-up comedy, hidden camera segments, special celebrity guests and other surprises that together create a delightful hour of television.

Effective February 6, the Azteca America primetime lineup will include exciting new episodes of your favorite shows. Following the primetime leadoff of Cuentame tu Historia con Marta Susana, the network will feature the lineup of Extranormal on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with Lo Que la Gente Cuenta on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Following Buenas Noches con Fernando Arua at 9 PM, Azteca America will present spectacular episodes of Al Extremo at 10 PM.
