BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Jan. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Victorino Noval and Victor Noval have agreed to produce Edward Bass' period character-driven thriller about America's "Jack the Ripper," the most prolific female serial killer in history, Belle Gunness.

Edward Bass, producer, has produced alongside such legends as Stanley Kramer, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Guillermo del Toro, Kevin Spacey, Peter Berg and most recently James Franco and Victorino Noval Productions.

Unlike the stereotypical Hollywood producer, Victorino Noval is apparently in it for all the right reasons, such as contributing meaningful projects like his joint venture with Rabbit Bandini Productions, Bass, and NYU students. Noval trimmed his work scope to spend more time with his four sons, but it is his son Victor Noval who asked his father to create the endowment for the arts. All his sons are taught the art of charity through his endowment of numerous projects.

Noval expresses, "I gravitate towards true stories and this one is truly bigger than life. I could see a Kate Winslet, or a CateBlanchett making this their own...I am Cuban, but for whatever reason I think an English actress will better understand the depth of the piece. It's a love story when she falls for one of her suitors, who nearly turns her from her killing spree."

Taking place at the beginning of the twentieth century in rural Indiana, Belle promises to be a sexy siren's tale as well as thriller about the bizarre happenings at Belle's LaPorte farm, and the apparent cover up by local authorities. Despite one of Belle's husbands according to court records, death due to a "falling sausage grinder," her escape from persecution stumps experts even today, 93 years later.

The story reveals many hitherto unknown facts about this era -- recreational drug use was not only legal, but many of today's prohibited narcotics were available over the counter. However, a doctor's prescription was required for ordinary aspirin! Drawn from history, Belle is inspired by such cult classics as Truman Capote'sInCold Blood and Alfred Hitchcock's "Shadow of a Doubt."

Victorino Noval is a Real Estate and Financial Investor/Philanthropist making his foray into the film industry. Noval is currently heading to Europe immediately after the SAG Awards, in order to attend the Berlin Film Festival. Noval will also visit Abu Dhabi to explore a contribution towards the Dubai Film Festival next year.
