Healthy Cooking Demonstration and Study Results Presentation with Celebrity Chef Sara Moulton
New National Study from Share Our Strength's Cooking Matters®( )Assesses Cooking, Grocery Shopping and Healthy Eating Habits of Low-Income Americans
New York, NY - Results from a new national study illustrating low-income American families' efforts to cook healthy meals and challenging common myths about barriers to healthy eating will be presented during a cooking demonstration by Chef Sara Moulton. Moulton is the host of Sara's Weeknight Meals on PBS, author of Sara Moulton Cooks at Home, Sara's Secrets for Weeknight Meals and Sara Moulton's Everyday Family Dinners, and the Food Editor for ABC-TV's "Good Morning America."
Cooking Matters, a program of Share Our Strength, the national non-profit working to end child hunger in America, teaches families at risk of hunger how to get more food for their money and cook healthy meals. In 2011, Cooking Matters programming reached 100,000 individuals in 41 states.
The cooking demonstration and research results will be presented Jan. 31, 2012 at The Astor Center Kitchen in New York City.
