Centerplate and Ping HD Score Touchdown with Launch of Digital Menu System at the San Francisco 49ers Candlestick Park

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Ping HD, a leading provider of digital communication solutions joined with Centerplate, the largest hospitality partner to North America's premier sports stadiums, convention centers and entertainment venues, and the San Francisco 49ers to announce the launch of Ping HD's digital menu board system at Candlestick Park.

Ping HD installed its digital menu board solution in 20 concession stands across all three levels of the stadium. The system includes 51 LG 42-inch HD LCD monitors, 11 LG 32-inch HD LCD Monitors plus 40 existing TV displays, all managed by Ping HD's proprietary content management system within all of the main concourse concession stands of the stadium. The system also makes use of Atlona's HDMI distribution amplifiers (AT-HD-V12 1x2), HDMI EDID emulators (AT-HDSync), to ensure HDMI signals are sent to the more than 100 screens.

The deployment features full motion graphics, time-based daypart menus, and rotating promotions to drive incremental sales. Candlestick Park's robust Wi-Fi network enables Ping HD to support the entire system wirelessly from its Denver, Colorado data center.

"Professional sports and entertainment venue digital communications and advertising platforms are our core business and we are pleased and honored to have been chosen by the San Francisco 49ers as their digital menu solution provider," said Kevin Goldsmith, Director of Digital Media Operations at Ping HD.

The Candlestick Park installation comes on the heels of several recent Ping HD deployments including AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, the Edward Jones Dome, home of the St. Louis Rams, Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies, Safeco Field, home of the Seattle Mariners, Slugger Field, home of the Louisville Bats and Blue Rocks Stadium, home of the Delaware Blue Rocks.
