Donations to help FIGHT HIV/AIDS
NEW YORK, Nov. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Tomorrow, December 1st, World AIDS Day, Ticketmaster will donate $.10 from every ticket sold in the United States to fight HIV/AIDS. Proceeds will benefit Lifebeat, the music industry's HIV/AIDS prevention charity in America.
"We are proud to stand alongside Lifebeat on World AIDS Day to help educate music fans about prevention of this deadly disease," said Nathan Hubbard, chief executive officer of Ticketmaster.
Last year, Ticketmaster donated more than $22,000, which enabled Lifebeat to provide safer sex education to over 30,000 concert goers throughout the U.S. and to put on over 200 live concerts in 2011 for people living with HIV/AIDS in the New York City and Washington, D.C. areas.
Live event fans are encouraged to purchase tickets through Ticketmaster via phone, web or retail outlets beginning at 12:01 a.m. tomorrow, December 1st, World AIDS Day, when Ticketmaster will donate $.10 for every ticket sold to Lifebeat.
