LAW ROCKS! - A 'Battle of Bands' Charity Fundraiser is Coming to Los Angeles

Fundraiser to Benefit Local Charities

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- After 3 years of successful events in London, Law Rocks! is coming to Los Angeles.

Bands will compete on stage at the Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood on March 8, 2012.

Law Rocks! is a series of live "battle of the bands" style rock concerts in which professionals from the legal industry battle it out on stage for charity. The last event in London consisted of 13 bands from many of the world's biggest law firms.

Celebrity judges, audience voting and total fundraising will determine the winner. And, to add a twist, each band is allowed one 'ringer' who does not have to be associated with the legal industry.

"We are excited to bring this great event to the entertainment capital of the world," says Law Rocks! Co-President Ted Scott. "For the musicians to be able to perform on the same stage that graced such rock legends as The Doors, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, and Van Halen is amazing."

Law Rocks, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and their goal is to raise over $100,000 for this event, the net proceeds of which will be donated to the 1st and 2nd place bands' respective designated local charities.

Law Rocks! is seeking bands to join the Battle of the Bands competition. With the exception of one band member (the 'ringer'), musicians must be employed within the legal industry, its suppliers or supporting industries. Performance slots are limited and audition tapes should be submitted via email to info@lawrocksusa.com by December 15, 2011. Selected bands will be notified shortly thereafter, and each will perform a 25 minute set during the concert.
