DETROIT, Oct. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Professional dancer and singer, Tony Vitale, has performed on Broadway, on TV shows like Clueless and The Young and the Restless, and toured as a dancer with Reba McEntire's band for years. The native Detroiter released his first music video - "That's Detroit" - a big band-style song about the city in which he was born and loves.

Vitale's video is inspiring the entire Metro Detroit community and reflects the resilient spirit of all the people who have given their all to make Detroit the Motor City. "That's Detroit" can be viewed on YouTube at www.youtube.com/tonyvdetroit and as well as purchased and downloaded on iTunes.

"Its time for us to have our own 'New York, New York' style anthem that speaks to the true never-say-die character of the people of Detroit," says Vitale. "I'm not just talking about the people who live in Detroit, but also all of us who are from Detroit! I believe it's the resilience and the tenacity of the people of Detroit that really makes us stand out. I hope this song gives that message to the world."

Vitale will perform his new song live for the first time this Friday, October 7th at Mesquite Creek in Clarkston, where he is a Managing Partner. Mesquite Creek is located at 7228 N.
