Nobel Peace Prize Winner Leymah Gbowee at InterChurch Center Today at 3 p.m.

Subject of Upcoming PBS Series "Women, War & Peace"

Author of "Mighty Be Our Powers"

Gbowee, winner of this year's Nobel Peace Prize, will be appearing at the InterChurch Center in New York City today to discuss her win, her memoir "Mighty Be Our Powers: How Sisterhood, Prayer and Sex Changed a Nation at War" (Beast Books) and her role in the upcoming new 5-part series "Women, War & Peace" premiering on PBS this Tuesday, October 11th at 10 p.m., (check local listings). Part two, the award-winning film, "Pray The Devil Back to Hell," will debut on PBS on Tuesday, October 18th.

"The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2011 is to be divided in three equal parts between Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Leymah Gbowee and Tawakkul Karman for their non-violent struggle for the safety of women and for women's rights to full participation in peace-building work."
