NJTV joins local public television stations in 39 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands in offering the PBS LearningMedia service to their education communities. The digital media platform delivers classroom-ready, high-quality content tied to curriculum standards, professional development courses, a robust content delivery system, and a flexible infrastructure designed for customization and seamless integration into existing services.

"We are proud to offer our local teachers this powerful online education service for free," said NJTV's interim General Manager John Servidio. "It marks another step we are taking to make NJTV an umbrella information resource for our local communities across New Jersey and surrounding areas. To help local teachers and students through this service is to invest in the future of our communities in a very tangible way."

PBS LearningMedia's growing resource library includes more than 14,000 core curriculum assets from PBS and its member stations and respected third-party sources like the National Archives and NPR, as well as content funded by NASA, the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health and the US Department of Education. Educators will find resources from public television programs like THIRTEEN'S Nature and Cyberchase, WGBH's Nova and American Experience, Twin Cities Public Television's DragonflyTV and SciGirls, and KQED's Jean-Michel Cousteau's Ocean Adventures.

PBS LearningMedia is accessible through NJTV for free to educators. A customized version of the service is also available for a fee to state education departments and local school districts, offering enhanced capabilities and resources such as bulk registrations, detailed analytics, integration with assessments, and credit-bearing professional development courses that will enhance the free content.
