Focus Washington Talks With Thrill Author Chet Nagle About His Book: The Woolsorter's Plague
WASHINGTON, Oct. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Chet Nagle's book, The Woolsorter's Plague, is a fictional account of two terrorists that make an attack on the United States that was planned by Iran. Due to the recent failed attack on U.S. soil by Iran, Chuck Conconi sits down with Nagle on Focus Washington to discuss the subject matter of his book.
During the interview, Nagle explains that the attempted attack demonstrates that the enemy is among us and can easily reach our borders. Conconi asks if there is any way to protect our borders and prevent attacks like this from happening in the future.
Nagle notes that adequate protection is difficult, but it is possible if the United States will anticipate the attack and prepare for it. "What you do internally to protect yourself requires a certain level of sophistication that we have to work on," explains Nagle.
Nagle also explains that there is very little information in the public domain about anticipating these attacks. It is important for the public to be aware that biological warfare is the terrorist's next logical step, since nuclear weapons are difficult to build and employ. He explains that even though germ warfare is a difficult subject, it is important for all of us to be aware of the threat so that such attacks can be prevented.
