Fairfax Law Foundation Is Jazzed to Be Fundraising for Charity
Tenth Annual Concert Benefitting Law Foundation and GMU Music Scholarship Fund
FAIRFAX, Va., Oct. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Fairfax Law Foundation and George Mason University Jazz Ensemble present the Tenth Annual Jazz 4 Justice Concert on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 8:00 PM in the George Mason University Center for the Arts Concert Hall. This concert benefits the charitable endeavors of the Fairfax Law Foundation and the Music Scholarship Fund at GMU.
This year's concert will be a celebration of the big band jazz music of World War II and will be admitting Veterans free of charge as distinguished guests. Jazz 4 Justice will feature top jazz musicians and ensembles from George Mason University and the community. Immediately following the concert, all audience members are invited and encouraged to join in the music making by attending a post-concert jam session. Musicians of all levels are invited to play.
"This concert has received state and national acclaim. Recently, James Madison University modeled a similar fundraiser for their music department and had much success. As a result, other universities and local bar associations are being encouraged to foster this unique partnership between education, music, and law," said Ed Weiner, Past President of the Fairfax Law Foundation and Founder of Jazz 4 Justice.
Individual tickets for the concert are $20.00 adults / $15.00 students and seniors. Corporate sponsorships are available and are vital to the success of this event. For further information on Jazz 4 Justice, or to purchase tickets, please contact Larissa Williams at the Fairfax Bar Association, 703-246-2084, or via email lwilliams@fairfaxbar.org.
