Mount Kisco Fitness and Organic Nutrition Center Invites Public to Celebrate Grand Opening

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y., Sept. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- It's not an average day when you can enjoy healthy, organic 'mocktails' while taking in the live performance of an internationally acclaimed violinist - for free. Thankfully, the grand opening celebration of Skinny Buddha on Saturday, October 15, won't be your average opening.

Located at 128 Radio Circle in Mount Kisco, Skinny Buddha is a new center for personalized fitness, prepared organic meals and nutrition programs co-created by classically trained chef Elyce Jacobson and Golden Gloves boxer Shaka "The K.I.N.G" Davidson. By customizing programs to meet each individual's goals and needs, Skinny Buddha has created a unique, first-of-its-kind center in Westchester County.

The grand opening celebration kicks off at 6:00 p.m. and will feature violin sensation Daisy Jopling, who has toured the world performing both as a solo artist and as part of the band "Triology." Unlike anything you've ever heard, Jopling combines classical training with modern hip-hop and fusion elements, thrilling audiences from Carnegie Hall in New York City to the Royal Albert Hall in London. Also performing is DJ Miss Deezy, who will keep the crowd invigorated until the party comes to an end at 9:00 p.m.

Guests will be treated to a healthy mix of "mocktails" made from the freshest organic fruits and vegetables, playing off traditional cocktails such as the Long Island Iced Tea, Mojito and Bloody Mary. Personalized exercise and nutrition information from Jacobson and Davidson will be abundant as visitors are encouraged to explore the peaceful yet energized setting of Skinny Buddha's new state-of-the-art facility.

Skinny Buddha programs include weight loss, detoxification, pre-natal, restorative yoga and body massage therapy, to name a few. Jacobson and Davidson provide 24/7 follow up, closely monitor client progress with detailed records and analysis, and adjust workouts, diets, and other services to maximize results. (So don't be surprised if you get a call from them to make sure you stay on track!) Skinny Buddha also has an experienced team of health professionals including a nutritionist, yoga instructor and holistic health counselor to offer additional support.

"We believe strongly that a healthy mind and a healthy body will transform people's lives, and we are committed to helping our clients reach their greatest potential," Jacobson said.
