Candleridge Entertainment Acquires How to Leave Your Lover
Romantic comedy written by Matt Wheeler
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Candleridge Entertainment, LLC an independent production company, partners with writer Matt Wheeler to create a romantic comedy How to Leave Your Lover. The story is about a man who desperately tries to break up with his girlfriend but fails at every attempt.
The script is an adorable and quirky story with more unexpected moments than your average romantic comedy. "It's sort of a guide of how you can, as a cowardly man, break up with a girl whose heart you don't want to break," says Wheeler.
Production is set to start in 2012, currently there is no director attached.
Candleridge Entertainment sets itself apart from other independent production companies by taking pride in collaborating with writers.
"They have been fantastic partners and have been immensely collaborative, supportive and inclusive. Candleridge Entertainment has created an environment of transparency and trust that has been hugely beneficial to the creative development of the project. I hope How to Leave Your Lover is the first of many collaborations," says Wheeler. He is represented by Keya Khayatian and Rebecca Ewing at UTA.
The Candleridge producing team of Ryan Horton, Lindsay Lanzillotta, and Dallas Dickinson hail from various backgrounds. Horton previously worked in financial investments before forming Candleridge Entertainment with Dallas Dickinson. Dickinson lends producing experience from many years at Disney Regional Entertainment and Sony Online Entertainment. Lanzillotta, a multi-media producer from Toronto, adds her experience in television, independent theatre, short and feature length films. Recently, Lanzillotta served as lead producer on Candleridge Entertainment's first film, The Vicious Kind, with Horton acting as executive producer, and Dickinson as co-producer and line producer.
