Steve Martorano "Godfather of Italian-American Cooking" to Appear for Second Time on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Midnight Aug. 9, 2011

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., Aug. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Steve Martorano, South Philadelphia native and award-winning restaurateur, will appear for the second time on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! midnight, Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011.

Martorano, known as the "Godfather of Italian-American Cooking" will discuss his online cooking series called "Yo Cuz: The Italian-American Cook" and his recently-released autobiographical and inspirational cookbook with recipes titled "Yo Cuz! My Life, My Food, My Way." The first episode of Martorano's cooking series debuted on Wednesday, July 20 at www.cafemartorano.com.

Martorano's online cooking series features him preparing one of the classic South Philly Italian-American dishes that were part of his childhood and that inspired him to build his restaurant and cooking empire.

Martorano's, "Yo Cuz! My Life, My Food, My Way," is a rags-to-riches true-life tale spiced-up with delicious home-cooking recipes, available at www.amazon.com and through the Cafe Martorano website at www.cafemartorano.com. Additionally, he produces his own line of Cafe Martorano Pasta Sauces and wines available at select grocery stores and a Yo Cuz apparel line that can be purchased on the Cafe Martorano website.

Martorano is no stranger to television. He has made numerous guest appearances on TV shows including Mo'Nique, The Real Housewives of Miami and Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best. He has been profiled in several entrepreneurial and business publications, as well as food columns, blogs, newspapers and numerous television news outlets.

The self-taught Martorano never refers to himself as a "chef." Instead he prefers the title of "cook" as it more accurately reflects his personal outlook regarding the humble nature of his restaurant origins.

Cafe Martorano's Italian-American Kitchen has three locations - Oakland Park, Fla., the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood, Fla. and Las Vegas.
