Fan Mosaics Plans Official Tribute to Grateful Dead Legend Jerry Garcia

Jerry Garcia Photo Mosaic Will Be Built from Fan-Submitted Images

NORTHFIELD, Ohio, Aug. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Fan Mosaics, LLC, is offering 2,500 Jerry Garcia fans the opportunity to include their photos in an officially licensed mosaic print of the Grateful Dead legend.

To mark the August anniversary of both his birth and his death, Fan Mosaics is creating a Jerry Garcia photo mosaic built entirely from photos submitted by his fans. The fan images will be arranged to re-create a Jerry Garcia photo taken by world-famous photographer Herb Greene. The resulting limited-edition archival print will be art to frame, display and treasure for many years.

To participate, individuals visit the Jerry Garcia Fan Mosaics Web page, located at www.fanmosaics.com/jerrygarcia. They upload their image and pay the participation fee, which includes one image upload, one limited-edition 24"x 36" print of the mosaic, a certificate of participation and authenticity, and a digital screen saver that shows the mosaic being formed. A portion of the participation fee from each Jerry Garcia Fan Mosaic will benefit The Rex Foundation, which was founded as a Grateful Dead charitable agency in the 1980s.
