A Decade of Filling the Skies with Music, Bringing Communities Together, and Celebrating Peace and Humanity

NEW YORK, Aug. 30, 2011, /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The September Concert will fill the skies and streets of New York City with song, dance, music and poetry from Friday, September 9 through Monday, September 12.

Founded on the first anniversary of September 11, The September Concert is a New York-based, now GLOBAL event. A new beginning for New York City, and indeed the entire country, is signaled by the coming 10th anniversary of September 11. This year will mark a transformative moment for us all.

The September Concert will fulfill its acclaimed mission of bringing together communities, city-wide and world-wide, in affirmation of our universal humanity and celebration of peace.

Our celebration will extend around the world, including an astounding range of cities: Rome, Tokyo, St. Petersburg, Pavlovsk, Casablanca, Warsaw, Poznan, London, Nairobi, Tamale, Windhoek, Cuernavaca, Sydney and Port-de-Paix where thousands are expected to participate in a citywide event ... among many, many others.
