PBS' Nightly Business Report Opens Phoenix Bureau
NEW YORK, July 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- NBR Worldwide LLC, the owner of PBS' Nightly Business Report (NBR), today announced the opening of a new Phoenix bureau as part of an agreement with Eight, Arizona PBS.
The Phoenix bureau will cover stories about business and economic issues in Arizona and discuss and detail their national and global impact. Eight, Arizona PBS produces its own award-winning programs, including HORIZON, its nightly public affairs program, HORIZONTE, its weekly series examining Arizona issues through a Hispanic perspective, and the Arizona Collection, an anthology of programs that celebrates the people, places, and history of Arizona.

The Phoenix bureau's editorial team is led by Managing Editor Ted Simons, who has worked in television and radio in the Phoenix area for more than 20 years. In addition to his role as Managing Editor, Simons is host of the award-winning HORIZON program. The partnership agreement was signed on May 15, 2011.

Nightly Business Report, which has been broadcasting for more than 33 years, is the nation's most-watched daily business news program. The opening of the Phoenix bureau is the latest move to enhance the program. In May, the Nightly Business Report announced the program will be broadcast five nights a week by SiriusXM Radio.
