Giving New Voice to Hispanic Culture: OCP Releases Flor y Canto, Tercera Edicion

PORTLAND, Ore., June 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time in nearly a decade, liturgical publisher OCP has announced a new edition of the best-selling Spanish-language Catholic hymnal series, Flor y Canto. This new resource gives diverse Hispanic communities music to unite in worship and celebrate their common faith while still honoring their unique cultures.

Among many new features, Flor y Canto, Tercera Edicion contains 200 new titles from the Caribbean, Central and South America, Spain and the U.S.--regions previously under-represented in other Spanish-language hymnals on the market. The expanded 740-song repertoire is a reflection of the growing number of cultures that make up the U.S. Hispanic Catholic population.
