Attorneys of 1-800-CANTASO and Hosts of Almorzando Con Cantaso Give Stage to Local Artists

Attorneys of 1-800-CANTASO and Hosts of Almorzando Con Cantaso Give Stage to Local Artists

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., June 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- After just one month on air, the hosts of Almorzando Con Cantaso have generated industry buzz by upholding the commitment made at its premiere: featuring talented local artists. In a matter of weeks, hosts Bernardino Rosario and Astrid Cordoba have interviewed rising stars Luivy, Mateo y Kolombya, 3 Sixty Grados, Eddy y Henry, Latin Mixx Award Nominee DJ Carlito, Nikky y Montano, and others.

The idea of integrating local, often unsigned, talent was first proposed in a meeting with ESP 51 Entertainment president and co-founder, Sisco Ortega. Sisco recognized an issue in that local talent struggles to receive any air time on the major FM stations in New York. "Our station is smaller, but our voice is potentially more powerful," said host Bernardino Rosario. "We're now receiving dozens of calls and demos daily from artists hoping to be discovered. These musicians are truly talented and playing their music on our show gives them immediate credibility in the business."

In addition to the signal of JVC Broadcasting's 98.5 FM & 1490 AM, Almorzando Con Cantaso airs live at www.lafiestali.com weekdays from 1 to 2 PM. Each show is also posted on Sound Cloud and daily video will soon appear on Ustream. Luis Gonzalez, president of MakSoundz Entertainment, LLC, who represents 3 Sixty Grados, said "the exposure 'CANTASO' has given these artists is incredible. The interview was great, they placed our song in rotation, and invited us to participate at the 116th Street Festival. We couldn't get this type of exposure anywhere else."

The show features weekly segments, including Maffio Mondays with international recording artist/producer Maffio Alkatraks, entertainment news with Evi Siskos, Fashion Fridays with designer Jessica Banda, and of course the hottest mixes by Jimmy "DJ Midas" Palacios. "We are fresh and trying to do something unique and having a great time in the process," said co-host Astrid Cordoba. "We are everywhere right now, doing the radio, parades, festivals, and concerts. We are getting Facebook requests and calls from all over the world. The buzz is unbelievable."
