NCTA Announces Opening General Session
WASHINGTON, May 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- A panel of top cable and entertainment industry leaders will discuss how their companies are approaching the ever-evolving and increasingly competitive telecommunications marketplace during the opening session of The Cable Show 2011, the 60th Annual Convention and International Exposition of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA), June 14-16 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
Convention co-chairs David Zaslav, President and Chief Executive Officer, Discovery Communications, and Jerry Kent, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Suddenlink Communications, will welcome delegates. Former FCC Chairman Michael Powell will make his Cable Show debut as President & Chief Executive Officer of NCTA, delivering a "State of the Industry" keynote, a candid assessment on the state of the dynamic cable industry in 2011.
