WHAT: On March 8, CARE will kick off its annual conference in Washington D.C. with a tribute concert by recording artists India.Arie, Michael Franti, American idol alum Crystal Bowersox, Sarah Darling, and, in an exclusive U.S. premier performance, Idan Raichel. The evening will be hosted by Lesley Jane Seymour, editor-in-chief of More magazine. Concertgoers will learn more about the rich history of International Women's Day and the challenges that remain for girls and women worldwide. And they'll hear about ways to take action and support the movement, through innovative tools such as the new digital CARE Package.
