Marchon3D Ultraclips: A Solution for Prescription Frame Wearers

Marchon3D Ultraclips: A Solution for Prescription Frame Wearers

NEW YORK, March 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- (Vision Expo East Booth #2954) - Marchon3D(TM) today announced the new Marchon3D Ultraclips, an expansion of the M3D(TM) collection, which features a clip-on glass for prescription wearers.

Prescription-wearers will have the ability to clip-on Marchon3D Ultraclips, which work simultaneously and smoothly with their prescription lenses for the ultimate 3D viewing experience. Using micro-magnets soldered directly onto the clips, Marchon3D's patented Ultraclips provide a superior fit with the patented, polarized M3D lenses. Marchon3D will launch the Autoflex line with the flagship Flexon® memory metal frame technology in six styles.

"Older generation clip-ons contained two bulky magnets on the frame and two bulky magnets on the clip, making for a very heavy frame. Due to the construction of the older magnetic system there was a gap in between the clip and the frame, whereas in the Ultraclip system, micro-magnets are soldered onto the clip so it sits flush against the lens," said Jeff Stern, Vice President/Brand Executive of Marchon Eyewear. "Pairing this superior, lighter design with the patented M3D lens makes for the ideal passive 3D viewing experience for people with prescription glasses."

In addition to providing the best 3D experience on the market, the Marchon3D Ultraclips are photochromic, making the perfect dual-purpose sunglass and 3D lens. The M3D photochromic lens transitions to a sunglass in 30 seconds or less when exposed to sunlight.

"The Marchon3D Ultraclips are extremely versatile," continued Stern. "In addition to being photochromic, they work with all passive 3D technology. You can go from using your Marchon3D Ultraclips outside as your everyday sunglasses, to the 3D movie theater, to your 3D gaming consol or television set without ever changing the clips. The Ultraclips are so light and comfortable that the wearer won't notice any difference between the clips and his or her regular frames."

Marchon3D Ultraclips will be available at Independent Eyecare Professionals starting this Spring. The Autoflex 3D frame package (clip and frame) will wholesale for $99.00 - $104.95 and the Nautica package will wholesale for $84.95.
