Horror Movie Dedicates to Healing

Horror Movie Dedicates to Healing

In Hollywood, it's not always about money

One of the most terrifying films to be released in years is dedicating its entire weekend theatrical gross income directly to Japan's victims through the AMERICAN RED CROSS.

LOS ANGELES, March 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Although in the world of movie-making, money is more precious than air, the idea of dedicating RIFT's entire weekend box office gross receipts to the Japan victims truly signifies the sensitivity of executives at Gjenius Productions to the victims in Japan, and to our human connection from across the oceans.

RIFT is a feature film based on various events that shocked the nation throughout the years. Fresh writer/director LazRael Lison has taken his poetic license to enrich this cinematically told story with creeps and ghosts, scaring the heck out of the audience. But what really warms the heart is Gjenius has decided to dedicate its entire weekend box office gross sales to the American Red Cross Japan Relief efforts.

RIFT is a terrifyingly fun horror movie, with a cult following of over 500,000 on YouTube. More available on www.RiftTheMovie.com.

The story of RIFT: After extensive research of hundreds of murders, some of which were never solved, RIFT incorporates elements of the most horrific; the murders of eight collage students in 1966. The story weaves a connection to later murders through 2001. The audience is riveted and surprised throughout the movie, with an ending that leaves everyone with an uneasy feeling of the after-effects of a roller coaster ride.

"RIFT is set to break cult status and is on fire. This movie is ready for partnerships with distribution," said Shary Nassimi, Director of Marketing.

RIFT stars RICHMOND ARQUETTE (CSI, Prison Break, Halloween, Scream, Se7en), LESLIE EASTBROOK (Superman, Batman, Police Academy & Rob Zombie's Devil's Rejects) and TOM WRIGHT (Numb3res, 24, eRing, Southland, CSI).

Rift is set to premier on April 28th at 7:30 PM, 2011, at Laemmle's Music Hall 3 Theatres, 9036 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90211.

Gjenius Productions was founded in 2005 with a mandate to the expression of cinematic creative paradigm through digital cinematography.

The American Red Cross name is used with its permission, which in no way constitutes an endorsement, express or implied, of any product, service, company, individual or political position.
