Celebrated Televangelist Robert Schuller Named Chairman of FamilyNet TV

Schuller to Become Face of FamilyNet TV With Commercials, Promos and PSAs, America's Trusted Faith & Values Network to Spin Out from ComStar Media

DALLAS,March 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ComStar Media, the parent company of AmericanLife TV Network (ALN), FamilyNet TV, and FamilyNet Radio, today announced that FamilyNet will spin out from ComStar Media and that Robert A. Schuller will become both the Chairman and the face of FamilyNet Television.

The move comes on the heels of the recent successful launch of two FamilyNet initiatives - the launch of FamilyNet HD TV and the R2G movies launch featuring blockbuster movies edited by the studios. FamilyNet will spin off from its parent company ComStar Media.

An ordained minister, Robert is the only son of Crystal Cathedral founder Robert H. During his tenure at the megachurch, Robert managed a $60 million annual budget with over 600 employees and kept the ministry on a solid financial footing.
