MIAMI, Feb. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --Tr3s: MTV, Musica y Mas (formerly MVT Tr3s) is proud to announce the premiere of the sixth season of the immensely popular "Quiero Mis Quinces," the show that takes you on the intense, behind-the-scenes ride of planning the perfect quinceanera party as well as every extravagant and extraordinary moment that comes along with celebrating this milestone. More than six million viewers tuned into the last season of "Quiero Mis Quinces", which also garnered an Imagen award for "Best Reality" series and posted as the number two Hispanic cable program among Hispanic females ages 12-34 during its fifth season premiere nights in its time period. The sixth season will continue to deliver endless surprises and series "firsts" with a premiere every Monday night at 6pm (ET) starting February 21st on Tr3s.
A quinceanera is the ultimate coming out party, and "Quiero Mis Quinces" captures the good, the bad and the crazy that go into making a teenager's dreams a reality. The show goes beyond the stereotypical highs and lows of planning a quinceanera and goes deeper to profile the life of each fifteen year old, what this landmark birthday signifies and how family is at the heart of this tradition.
The new season of "Quiero Mis Quinces" returns with unprecedented and captivating storylines that have never been told on the show including a male quinceanero, a teen mom, a bicultural family, a promise ring ceremony, and a mother battling Leukemia.
"Quiero Mis Quinces has become a staple franchise for the brand and the Latino audience because it encompasses the experiences beyond the quinceanera to reflect the strong influences of family, culture and tradition as well," said Charlie Singer, SVP of Content and Creative for Tr3s. "This new season is chock-full of colorful personalities, emotional roller coasters, parental challenges and even more opinions from abuela, which is always my favorite character."
