Premier Online Singing Community Seeks to Discover Next Music Super Star and Help Save Music Education Programs

SimpleSuperStar.com Offers Singers a Chance at Stardom While Contributing to The Fender Music Foundation to Reach Music Education Programs Across America

CHEYENNE, Wyo., Feb. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Announcing the launch of its new online singer community and competition, Simple Super Star, Inc. has set out to discover the next music star. More than just another singing competition offering a route to stardom, SimpleSuperStar.com, through its association with The Fender Music Foundation, is helping to make a difference in the lives of thousands and open the door for the emergence of new socially conscious artists.

Simple Super Star, Inc. delivers a unique model for developing aspiring singers through educational resources and the opportunity to win thousands of dollars to help launch their music careers. Simple Super Star, Inc. donates a portion of its proceeds to The Fender Music Foundation.

The Fender Music Foundation awards grants in the form of musical instruments and equipment to music education programs across America. In the past few years, the foundation has awarded 124 grants to music classrooms, after-school music programs and music therapy programs. Through these organizations, the foundation has directly reached over 35,000 people, including thousands of at-risk youth. Its list of supporters includes Flea, Randy Jackson of American Idol, Hugh Laurie, B.B. King, James Denton, Alan White of Yes, Les Paul, Mick Fleetwood, Joe Bonamassa, and Joe Satriani.

"We are grateful that Simple Super Star, Inc. has chosen to support The Fender Music Foundation through their singer community and competition. With their generosity, we hope to be able to expand our reach to music programs so that more people can have the opportunity to learn to make music," says Moriah Harris-Rodger, Executive Director of The Fender Music Foundation.

Singers can join the SimpleSuperStar.com community and submit a video to win the online competition by choosing a membership level based on their age -- Teen (Age 13-17), College and Young Adult (Age 18-25) and Adult (Age 26+). In addition to a chance at stardom and to win cash, singers can learn to become better performers and improve their marketing efforts as independent artists through the SimpleSuperStar.com educational resources. Singers can also build their fan bases and sell their music from the site.

"With SimpleSuperStar.com, we've created a simple process for talented singers to realize their dreams. Our competition doesn't require people to travel distant cities and stand in long lines to compete. All they need is talent, a video, an Internet connection and a desire to 'pay it forward' by supporting music education," says Keturah Allyson, spokesperson for Simple Super Star, Inc. "There is a tremendous amount of undiscovered talent out there and this is our chance to help make their dreams come true and also make a difference in the world."
