J&J Productions and WonderStar Productions Announce 2011 Production Line-up
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Jim Casey, head of J&J Productions, and producing partner Kim Waltrip of WonderStar Productions announced today that in addition to their 2011 line-up of TV and feature films, they are in pre-production on an original film "The Christmas Lot," which will start filming in Big Bear in April. Casting announcements will be made shortly.
"I Didn't Come Here To Die," cast with a group of young unknowns and made for under $1 million, is represented by The Gersh Agency for worldwide sales. "A Thousand Cuts," starring Michael O'Keefe, Olesya Rulin and Michael Newcomer, the story of a horror movie director involved in a real life horror situation, is in post-production. "A Very Mary Christmas," with a stellar cast headed by Linda Gray, Cybill Shepherd, Elliott Gould and Cloris Leachman will premiere as a TV movie for Christmas 2011. They also produced a PBS TV musical special, "The Lady. The Music. The Legend" starring award winning performer Diahann Carroll in her live stage show.
In development is a TV comedy series, "Chateau Chateau," designed for Joan Collins and Robert Wagner, based on an original story by Collins, which will be shot in Palm Springs, with a young support cast. In addition, "The Busby Babes," a feature film based on the true story of the 1958 U.K. football plane crash tragedy is planned for production in Fall 2011. Kim Waltrip said that her goal and partner Jim Casey's is to focus on low budget projects with great stories, creating work for the "bread and butter" actors in the industry.
